Regular RaPAL meetings in Second Life
We would like to invite you to join the RaPAL Second Life meetings to discuss research and practice in adult literacy. If you already use Second Life, you'll know what to expect. If you've never used it, come and try - it's fascinating.
Meetings dates and times in 2011
Meetings in 2011 will be held as follows:
7 February; 7 March; 4 April; 9 May; 6 June; 5 September; 3 October; 7 November; 5 December
19.30 to 20.15 (UK time)
Don't worry if you can't make all the above dates - just join us for those that you can.

How to join the meetings
Please email Alison Wedgbury alisonwedgbury@yahoo.com (Phyl Loire in Second Life) if you want to join us. We'll then send you information about how to get started in Second Life, along with details about the next meeting.
If you don't already use Second Life
If you don't already use Second Life, let us know when you reply. We'll help you to get started and to experiment with your new avatar, with clothing, moving and finding your way around. You can be as respectable or as extravagantly weird as you like. Your new avatar's name will make you anonymous unless you want to identify yourself beforehand or during the meeting.
